Shinogi Soup Bowl 7.9" - Golden Manganese
Part of the Shinogi collection by Riso Porcelain, a fourth-generation kiln in Arita founded on the former residence of Yi Sam-pyeong, the Korean potter credited with firing Japan's first porcelain. The Shinogi technique involves carving fine ridges directly into the clay body, a traditional method that Riso has refined using digital precision tools to achieve consistent depth and spacing.
On this soup bowl, the ridges radiate outward from the base, catching light across the surface and creating subtle variation where the Golden Manganese glaze pools in the grooves. The result is a bowl that feels both quietly crafted and visually striking at the table. Designed by Shinichi Terauchi, made in Arita, Japan.
